We have a grandmother's quilt cover and she put more thought into it than "divide it half and change the color. Choose something really ugly".

But they won the big air and freestyle strapless in spain. James tells me they are awesome. But what would he know?

I am not sure that every body understands that boards and more who make ion fanatic and north. Only used norths name under licence. The rd and manufacturing ect was all boards and more. So apart from the name north had very little to do with it. They just raked in cash fr the name. The new kites etc have been developed for the north range but there was a fall out and till (the boss) said well we will go our own way. Nothings changes except for the name (love it or hate it) same people same person paying the bill same structure. Years of experiece behind boards and more(i think 18)
I know the new gear is just the same as would have been launched as north had not there been a falling out.
So get on it try it and stay true. Just my rant!!!

Nothing at all. Everyone knows it's the kites that do all the work. Guess I better sell up and get me some Duotone kites

18 years is a longtime to figure out what colours look good and what colours not so

If you wait a year, you will be able to buy newly developed North kites again!
Not unexpectedly, North is not going to give up on kiting products just because Boards and More have separated and taken their designs away and created DuoTone.

More choice and competition cant be a bad thing for us consumers.

Dutone have designed them ugly for a reason - so you don't look at the kite whilst kiting and actually kite properly for once!

Sounds like the making of a kite is whether or not you like the print. Interesting here i was thinking build qltly and how they fly was important. Im still such a virgnin in this sport.

Nah, performance of a kite depends on the appearance of it.

Some would say all kites perform about the same. Performance is based on if it gets you chicks.

There's no doubt the kite's will fly nice it's just when you fork out a few thousand clams on a bit of kit you want it to be a little asthetocaly pleasing lol

Yes they have... but.....

North was not really much of a WS brand in Oz anymore...... Severne, NP smashed them......... unlike the days of the big 3 when North had lots of market share. North went same way as Gaastra.
Even minors like Goya and Ezzy have had way more than North in Australia for last few years, and I reckon "Duotone" won't exactly fix it unless they come up with a ripper sail range and cheaper than others.

But granted, may have been distributor problems...
