Just reading the tehering thread and Nathe's very lucky self landing gone wrong. Use this method wherever you can, once you get good at it you can land your kite without putting your hands or fingers at risk.

Hmmm bring the kite to the 9 o'clock position
The kite was on the starboard side, most people I know would called that the 3 o'clock position.
Attention to detail is important when making instructional videos

Another good video!
Just one constructive critism though, probably wouldn't advocate having a really heavy hard object downwind and within 2 line lengths , like a 4wd, in case it did go sideways.

Cheers for putting the vid up on my behalf haha . Hands are healing nicely and back in the water today. I'd like to see that in some of the locations like I kite, with small patches to land , trees and rocks around plus wind shadows to mess with the kite . Open expansion of beaches are fine for that but I think I'll stick to the tether.
Merry Xmas everyone

My mate Glen Bowden (pro photographer/videographer), was using the vehicle as a base station. He was using 3 cameras to capture this footage and needed quick access and clean safe storage, and also something to hide behind out of the wind, especially when he flew the drone. The camera angles/lens compression do make the vehicle look a bit closer than it actually was. It was well out of the way considering the wind angle.
We had been waiting for over 3 weeks to get a suitable weather window, as we wanted at least partial blue skies, and Glen lives 3.5hrs drive away from me so the shooting was a little rushed in the end and the voice over was done in a quiet room at home, with me watching a rough edit.
Constructive criticism is welcome, and I'll take all the relevant points onboard, thanks.
