Happy new year to all

When it comes to boosting big airs, so many factors come into play and it's easy to overcomplicate things. Watching all the tutorials and reading all the advice often leaves people with so much to think about.

Everyone I've taught how to jump was able to ride fast and send the kite hard, but had one big weakness in common: the stance, particularly the stance just before take-off.

happy boosting

Load, pop and send think you missed one or two important factors

The most important factor to boost big is a perfectly powered kite on the verge of being over powered. Without that you are dead in the water for boosting big.

Now that we have drones... along with the stance - you need to show the Load carve from above :)
Like you say, theres really fast Lawnmowers out there who dont have a clue..

I think you nailed the main problem beginners have, see it so much people loosing the edge just before they launch.
can you now please do a video on light wind kiting with a 5 meter girls kite.
cheers

I'd love to see a video showing both kite and rider and the correct technique to LAND big air - kite movement, bar sheeting, stance, option of looping...

Most videos only focus on the rider, so you've got no real idea of what they're doing with the kite above them.

Thanks for the feedback.

This isn't meant to be a complete guide to boosting, simply a focus on what I observe to be the most common problem with kiters learning to boost and also those who can't seem to go any higher than a few meters after many seasons of practice.

Yes, you do need to worry about timing, technique for sending the kite, kite size, kite type, board size/type, wind strength, choosing the right kite spot and proper landing technique as all these will all affect the overall result.

A lot of kiters mention to bear off downwind before edging for takeoff (load and pop) this technique is essential for rotations with the kite at 45' and wake style tricks, but doesn't work well for boosting big airs. Keeping the same upwind course and edging harder just before take off is what works best for big jumps.

Doing a detailed video about boosting (using drones) is in the cards, but I have a lot more to edit before that.

thanksChristian

I'm keen as mustard.!!!!

As a measurement of keenness how keen is mustard?

What scientific research has been conducted to give us the ability to assert mustards keenness?

From a scale of 1) manic depressive to 10) school boy whose just discovered pornhub where does mustard sit on this scale of keenness?

I'm still none the wiser on where mustard is sitting on the above mentioned scale.

I'm guessing it sits around 8,
Just below "f@cken keen as f@ck"
