Just made this quick little how-to on beach starts. Check it out and play safe everyone!

Also curling your toes up means your board won't suck on wet sand

Yeah but try that with a TT board. Almost impossible to pop out of the wet sand, especially with little to no rocker. You have to lean back more and slide off onto the water more.

Doesn't the TT water start involve running with the board in hand, jumping, putting board on feet then hitting the water!

If you position the board on a little mound of sand it won't stick to the wet sand.

Hmmm nah... Not that simple. You have to time it perfectly and take off like taking off on a skim board. I know it cam be done, but not for the faint hearted.

I tried my first nolly off the banks today. Super fun and easy. The more you press the more spring you get :) definitely worth a try
