I've been living in the US for the last 2 and a half years, so looking for a bit of advice on what if anything has changed in that time so I know what to expect. Looking especially at Woodies, Safety Bay, Avalon and the River.

Stoked to finally be moving home in 5 weeks and can't wait to see everyone down te beach.

global warming has resulted in massive sea level rises .There are now no beaches in perth at all .There are still plenty of car parks with suspect dudes in red camarays cruising around (watch out for them ).You will have to launch in those .it might put the theives off tho.
perth has taken the law into its own hands so if you do catch a thief you are expected to bash the living bejesus out of him and hope he isn't handy with a knife or gun

The scene hasn't changed much except for the crowds. Woodies is pretty nuts if you get there after work or on weekends. you can still get a sesh to yourself (pretty much) if you get there between 1 and 3.30pm. Weekends and pub hols are pretty crowded especially if you want the nice smooth stuff, but if you join in the circulation and don't mess up, it should be fine there's still a bit of room left.

Thieving is same as it ever was, plenty of scum bags at most beaches.

Most Metro beaches have plenty of kites now ALL flat water beaches are crowded including Woodies, Melville, Pinnaroo, Mullaloo and even leighton and Cottt get plenty of action.

Perth is a big place with lots of beaches and water. There are still loads of empty places to ride if you need space.

We are getting sea breezes already so it should bbe windy by the time you get back. Welcome home in advance!

Also Boosting has been legally enforced to a maximum height of 5 ft due to insurance liability / injury. It is enforced by use of board leashes & offenders are abruptly delt with

A couple of footy teams are currently negotiating kite contracts for a new game called 'KiteBall' as their not much good at regular games

Thanks guys, especially Kitehard. Yeah I pretty much figured there would be a lot more crew on the beaches, but seeing as I work 2 mins from Woodies at Austal and get off at 12 of Fridays, I should be sweet apart from that I will be living in Rocko, so Safety's may be the go.
