I bought a Slingshot B6 second hand on the internet. The bar/lines that came with it are kinda lacking. Seems like the safety is missing, and lines are kinda shoddy.

Im having a hard time finding information on this kite, and the equipment that goes with it.

I would like to replace the lines/safety (No safety on it right now) for the kite. I have a bar.
Which lines should i be getting?

Better off buying a second hand modern bar in good condition.

All lose bits bought separately will cost more than new bar. Just confirm the kite should be flying on 4 equal lines (as pretty much all post 2012 kites do), make sure your new bar depowers to a single line (one of the centre lines) and confirm the length of lines - 22-24 m lines will do if you have trouble finding out the original length.

One more thing is where the centre lines split - right after the bar or higher up. New bar needs to have the split in similar spot.

The B6 was a fixed bridle trainer. There was no safety from memory. Contact us at the store and I can help with some solutions.

Well....if money wasn't an issue...I'd have all the kites :)

The B6 is a 2 line kite. Also supposed to have a relaunch/break line...but didn't come with it.
Contacted Slingshot...they told me its been out of production for long enough, they wouldn't even have info on the measurements for the relaunch line...disappointing.

I guess the next step is to experiment with making my own....

I was not aware that anyone would try to use a 2 line kite nowadays. It has been done in the past but I agree with the suggestion above - to bin it. Kites have enouugh power to cause fatality (there was one only few days ago). What you are trying to do is a ticket for frustration, throwing more money at a project that is destined to fail, and potentially cause harm to yourself.

There is plenty of post about low cost options to get started - read them and hunt for something recommended by experienced kiters.
