If you want good wind for Maui its April-August. I launch mostly out of The Lesson Beach. I find it to be easy to park. I go to Naish Beach when its east wind as its more steady there however.

Wave riding has picked up I was actually talking about this the other day as there is heaps of people here now. If you want to ride waves in Maui you can but you will want a good quiver if you want to be able to ride everyday (this is not guaranteed as some days you will have zero wind). I am one of those people that can just look for good days and go.

I really have no idea about accommodations as I live on Maui

Oahu I know nothing sorry. I really want to go over and kite there though just to do it.

So if you come to Maui give me a shout.

Hey Slicer

Thanks for that info and pic... will definately be looking into it and nothing quite like local knowledge that sometimes saves you from the Sharks

Cheers Clay

I am going down to kite tomorrow I can always ask any questions to long timers if you have any. AFAIK no sharkies anywhere pestered people. Sharkies are actually really rare in Hawaii to attack/bite and even less kill.

Tigers are not your mate here though
