Lots of speed and commitment. Check out the Andy Yates video clip posted a few minutes ago.

Hey Al, you were getting fairly high on tuesday, like wise me when i finally got my board to stay on. I believe it comes down to timing of the kite with the pop.
Im off all next week so we can hit up botany again.

just to add to this thread,, how important is the board with jumping, if a board has "excellent pop" does that actually make a big difference?.

Get speed then bear off and unhook.
slowly regain your edge and then push off and put everything into it. remember to get alot of speed, and maybe try popping as high as you can at first but not going for anything or maybe just a railey. if you have very very small fins it might be harder

Have a look at the sequences online at that Core magazine or KiteWorld site.

The always show it really clearly and you'll be able to visualise yourself doing it much easier:
Slightly bear off & unhook
Carve hard into the wind
Stamp the back foot
Up Up and awayyyyyyyyyy

Park the kite arond 45 like the guys said and concentrate on the above.
