I have got a 2006 liquidforce menance, i have aquired it and taken it on as sort of a project kite. The kite itself is in great condition and looks really good. However it tends to fly out of the window and fall from the sky, it will not park. It also does not generate any power when diving through the window. In doing some research it apears the may of been ment to be flown with a pulley bar? The bar thati got with it is a liquid force 5 line bar, lines are in good nik and lengths seem fine.
So my questions are these
1. Does it need a pulley bar
2. Is the 5th line loaded or slack
3. How did you find the kite?

It is interesting to read your 'post' because I was learning to kite in 2006 with Liquid Force kites. My first LF was a C kite but I changed to the 'hybrid (as they were called then). I found exactly the same problem with the LF kites. I put it down to my lack of experience but gave an F1 a try and instantly had better control. My kiting instantly went from blaaagh to wow as soon as I changed over. I then moved to Cabrinhas and have never looked back.

I also learnt to kite in 05/06 on a naish boxxer, never flew a hybrid till recently and not a fan so this was a cheap option to get back to c kites untill the funds allow a new kite. However it has become a headache lol
