Woooo ****en hooooo.... Hydrofoil jumping is in the house! yeha.
Pretty damn cool riding along with a 3 foot ramp bolted to the bottom of your board...
In 50 knts with an 8 Mtrs swell
No. 8m in 15-20 knots. No record breaking insane height Maybe 6 foot max. I'm just freaken stoked to be getting air. Thought it would take like a year before I could step into airtime.
Good on you Plummet, I can only go green from envy! Just got myself a hydrofoil - complete disaster so far, can't even ride it without trying to hydrofoil, it is like trying to ride a bull, throws me off when I try to get on it HF jumps look so cool - hoping to get there one day

Old in there man. At first it seems impossibly foreign and there is definitely a period of continuous smack downs. But the smack downs become less and the foil sections become longer.
Just back from a nice foil session. All those getting into it. Do yourself a favour and get a helmet.
Not only does it protect your ear drums from those crashes.
I had my bar tangled up in the foil twice now resulting in unintended loops and being pulled into the board/foil. Man that Enduro loops well. Helmet made this stunt feel a lot smoother.
The other side effect I am still getting used to is that poleys give me a thumbs up now and not the usual middle finger. Awkward but nice.

They're just worried that if they're not polite, you'll change tack and cut them in half
