Sorry man, it does not look like a fake. i've seen even bigger cobblers overseas, that big they had to use a tractor to get it out of the water.
Th largest one recorded in Danube flooding lakes in Romania was about 200 kg.
yes, they grow pretty big mosters., however they seem to be very good on the plate

Sorry guys but that is a fake; not that it's not a real picture of a real fish, but this species does not occur in WA, nor in Australia. It's called a "silure" and comes from the Danube, although it's now common throughout Europe. They do grow bigger, over 2 metres, and can be caught with a whole dead chicken in deep holes. It is a freshwater fish.
