I've just taped the plastic mount to the trimstrap as close to the bar as possible with fibreglass tape. So i wouldn't get any trimstrap in the frame i wanted to build out a bit so i put in the metal and foam. Unfortunately this has increased the amount of swing and subsequent distortion i got in some shots like this one with the bent bar. The effects are kind of neat but video especially looks ridiculous.
