I recently purchased a THIeye t5e for $180 online. Has native 4k.
After a very thorough market research of the market I find the Thieye t5e the absolute best value option for the price.
Gday, thanks for yr post. This looks pretty good. Does is fit in the third party made line mounts, strut mounts etc made for Gopro? How and where are you mounting it?
Yes all the mounts for the Thi eye are the same as the go pro
Most, if not all brands share the same mounts.
For my kite lines I have made a mount out of the flat packaging that came with my first go pro. I cut the plastic into a small square and drilled some holes in each corner for small cable ties.
I also use a yellow go pro floaty handle for digging into the sand. It's easy to point and shoot with the yellow floaty.
Also if it falls in the water you have a better chance
of finding it.
Go pro still make the best/ hardy mounts.
With the Thi eye, it's a bit
more effort getting replacement housings. Just had to buy two direct
from China. Took a bit more effort than just going down to JB HIFI.
(I paid $39 USD for 2 water proof housings including postage) so yeah more difficult getting product- but 50% of the price.
