Hey,
Anyone had success in getting a 10'6" SUP (or over 9' SUP) to Fiji from Australia? The common airlines only take up to 9' as oversized luggage then it seems to get tricky and you have to frieght your SUP.

Have you check out the airline baggage policy is always a good place to start

Dont virgin have a max length of 3m?
It just goes as oversize baggage.

People have been taking windsurf gear for years all over the world
Do a search on the sup or windsurf forums, be sure to select the last 12 months, not the default 60 days

Check these out, have seen a few of the mals being used, and people owning them rate them. Not sure about the SUP's though but shouldn't be much different.

That's about the best thing that I have seen in ages! I have a SUP and it is a real pain to store and carry around. Two piece twin tips that fit in a suitcase have been around for awhile, but a 3 piece SUP, brilliant!!

Or a directional.

3m 9') is generous for a windsurfer but a little limiting for SUP's I ride a 10'6" Nalu which is primo in that range but there are a lot of HP SUPs at 9'1" that fall outside the airline's limit. Looks like hiring or going a sub 9' board is the only way to get around this little problem.
