I can spot 3 differences:
1)different colourscheme
2)3 attachment points for the rear lines
3)tapered windtips.

Someone else will have much more eye for detail than me..
prototypes mabe??? mabe the sorse man can comment?

i think i preffered last years scheme, lol they have got to run out of things they can do to this kite

looks like a smaller LE as well

Struts look smaller like the turbo or Rev.

Looks like they have ditched the splitstrut design?

yeah so they should. i thought there moto was "rider simplicity" split strut isnt simple for the person riding the sewing machine lol.

Slingshot have probably had a wake up call with the success of the REV. A lot of good fuel riders are switching to the REV ...... so it may be time to try to breathe some life into the ol' Fuel.

I ride Switchblades but have an 11m Fuel as well. ( my ex rides a REV ) .

In my experience the REV handles and has a similar feel to the Fuel but is just much easier to live with ... better relaunch, better in gusty wind etc.......

The Fuel shape has not really changed much over the years probably because it works so well, but the bar is being raised by other kite companies and I reckon by Slingshot ( with the REV ) as well.

apparently it relaunchs even better....mmmm nice.....slingy are improving on already a great kite....got my vote....and i fly a rebel.....bandit ,rev... best kites around now, for the present ...i fink anyway

It looks like Bob Marley's kite, not Ruben's

Also--Can't see a 5th line anywhere --and with that flat spot on the corner of the leading edge... Maybe it relaunches like flat/bow kite... Hmmm.

Well will be interesting to see what happens next year for sure. One thing though, ruben doesn't ride a fifth line so you would not see one on his kite..

They are very similar to the colors of Liquid Force's 08 Watson LTD board and bindings

yeah new bar is white with slingshot moulded in like a motorbike handlebar grip, also the depower rope is now stronger and more wear resistant. well thats what i have seen anyway.

that white bar is the ruben lenten pro model bar, No fith line bigger grip and shorter lines and I've heard from a person i know that those kites are concept kites and the new fuel will proble be a little different to that! Also to if you look close at that pic you'll see the new lunacy 132 you cant see it in the pic but it even has bindings on it!!!

If Slingshot only did two things with their Fuels; got rid of the inlaid patterns on their bars and made the depower rope more wear resistant, I would be well happy.

The 2003 Fuel had 3 rear line attachment points. If this is just a prototype it may be that only two make it to production though.

Thats not a cloud - its vapourware.

hasn't this been why the Fuels have changed so little for so long? coz users are, for the most part, happy and comfortable with its "known quantity". Could this radical departure from the "known" kill the marketing edge of the Fuel?
