I was kiting our local spot on the beach recently and spotted couple large jellies.... looked over my shoulder and there was a whole cluster of them, i mean like 1 jelly every 2sq foot or so.

The more i looked the more clusters there was... im talking hundreds to thousands and all large.

I was greatful to be on my TT ....i dont think they liked the brand new 53mm bite fins on my board though...lol
I could feel the shredding of jellies the whole session.

It then occurred to me how would you go on a foil with all these in the water and occasional seaweed fishing lines etc?
Does the foil cut right through them or is it the jellies that come out best?
Is fishing line an occasional hazard ?

Our local river gets packed with Jelly fish.Depending on time of year it can be anything from the odd couple, through to something that resembles jellyfish stew.They tend to pack together quite tighly when still small, like a jellyfish bloom. When this happens need to keep your speed up to make it through :) Other than that you slice straight through and only really at high speed can you feel the odd thud as you glance a big one in half.Large fish tend to give you a solid knock and can be like hitting a brick wall.
Pastic packet has been my harded dead stop in the river.

I hear in Maui foils take out a lot of Giant Turtles.
