Noticed that sand dune vegetation at the beaches I go to regularly are showing severe signs of degradation due to kiters wanting to pack their kites on non sandy soft surface. Fine to use lawn, but perhaps it's time we stop trampling on the vegetation. Woodies beach one and two are particularly bad. Don't really see an issue with a bit of sand really. Keep your kite dry and I never feel the need to pack away anywhere else.

yeah it's sad I have been out of the sport for a few years and came back to it recently and have noticed the substantial wear and tear on the popular kite beaches in wa. I general just half fold my kite up in the air and throw it in the car to sort it out on the lawn/wash lines at home at a later time.
Comparativly it's a fairly low environmental impact sport along sides the likes of dirt bikes/4wd/boating ect but it adds up.

Non kiting beaches are suffering dune degeneration, in fact our whole coast,
Planning setbacks have increased massively , I've noticed in the 8 years here the water line increasing
