What happened to her? Did she hang on to the bar?

nah looks like she let go just after she hit the group, would have been funny if she did not let go... although i dont know why he gave her the kite in the first place (i had no sound on)

it's pretty clear even without sound that he is doing a tethered landing and she has come up to talk to him .

Not sure who looks more stupid out of the two of them...

Man that sucks for that guy, you would be so pissed at that girl, it almost looks to me she thought it would be funny if she lifted the kite up out of his reach just as he was going to grab the kite not knowing what she is doing then bang, i bet she didn't find it funny after that, the guys kite is probably f&$ked as we'll

If he had control of the front lines while heading to his kite this surely would not have happened

... that was f'ing hilarious!

Another angle would be super dooper. Especially if she held on for a while.

I had a crazy bystander try and do that to me while I was still hooked in..... needless to say there was some stern words.

"As i was self landing my kite a highly intoxicated beach-goer asked me to take her for a ride. after the regular, its dangerous, need lessons talk i proceeded to land my kite. meanwhile, she decides to try and take it for a ride as i'm screaming "don't touch it! don't touch it!". Well, the kite looped, she experienced one hell of a body slam and my leash broke from the lifeguard stand due to the force of the kiteloop."
