Anyone out there used built in harness shorts?
I busted a lower rib last year and can't use a waist harness anymore as it puts pressure on my rib...
Tried a seat harness and hated it

Have had my Nitrous shorts for 3 seasons now and have no reason to change,,,,if ur in the waves throw a sliding dynabar on and u won't look back.

yep same as gillythree no complaints nitrous and sliding bar

I'm happy with the Liquid Force shorts & Dynabar. Pretty sure they were trying to cut me in half without the slider....

I use the Dakine shorts and a Dyna bar with the pivoting hook attachment. The harness is really just a light seat harness and it works great for me. I initially was using the provided fixed hook which would rotate up all the time. This wore out the tightening straps really quickly. With the pivoting hook it's perfect and the harness has done 2 full seasons and still going strong

Ion B2 are another great option

I used them for a bit until I believe a back injury resulted (inadvertently doing another task) if you are using a directional board, they cause too much body twisting.
Hence the suggestions above for a sliding hook etc.
on a twin tip the shorts are great.

I got told Liquid Force stopped making the harness shorts this year and the aussie distributor have none left. So if your local still has some grab them.

I went for the ION B2 due to bruised ribs. Haven't tried them yet but heard lots of good things.

Can you put a Dynabar on the B2's? Anyone done it?

Dynabar and Dakine make 'Power clips' which would work with the B2 straps

ION actually do their own version of the dynabar which works pretty well for ION harness's at about $120 no other mods required

I have gone through several pairs of Nitrous shorts over the years. I converted to the Liquid Force for the last 2 pairs.

Both are great but do eventually wear out after a season or so. Regards comfort both are similar. I found you definitely
need to wear a pair of bike pants or similar with the Nitrous shorts whereas the LF comes with their own wet suit material pants
to wear with the shorts. I have found the LF slightly harder wearing and so have lasted a bit longer. I have made various repairs
to all my pairs to extend their use.

And yes a Dynabar is definitely better to use with both.

Nitrous shorts are great and with the Dynabar, even better. Touch wood, not having any wear problems after a year of fairly consistent use. Unlikely to go back to a waist harness now.

Yea I like the nitrous shorts, I never kite without at least a springy on so very comfy for me.
Took a bit of time ( 1 session ) changing jumping technique as slightly different than waist harness.
Mine show no signs of wear yet ( 1 season or so ) but would imagine they may wear out on the seat sooner than a seat harness as you tend to leave them on and sit around in them talking sh1t to other kiters.
Dyna bar is fathers day surprise from the wifey....cant wait

Had dakines, were great for what they are ( I prefer waist now)
Only little thing was they wore down my wetsuit after wearing them over the top.
