I had just finished a sesh at cott last night 5 pm and was up on the road area watching the rest of the crew enjoying some good wind, and i saw " a newish guy" to the area blowing up up his kite on the grass area at the top . next thing i think he does a self launch on the beach gets himself hooked on the fence and crashes his kite into " mum and the kids" sitting at the top of the path area watching. Im thinking if you see some guy/girl who seems to lacking some confidence and needs a hand please tell em! it could have been a real disaster for him and those kids if those lines had hooked around anyone.
and then we would be looking for another spot to kite

There have been several reports to WAKSA of kiters using the phone box area - AGAIN !!!!
We havent checked out the signs recently but it is a well known 'No Go' area.
You should remember that kiters use of Cottosloe at all is dependant on abiding by the rule of keeping that area clear. Locals need to police it or start looking for a new beach.

Also, did anyone else see the total douche on the North with a helmet and life jacket? I didn't bother to take off my bindings to do it myself but someone should mention to him that he isn't safe around other people.

He was the reason I was protective of the top break: to stop the risk of of an idiot dropping his kite with me in range.

If your reading, your lucky the other bloke who went though your lines didn't stab you for that **** but maybe it would have been different if he had seen how stupid you had been the moments before that led to crashing.

I also ride at Cott with a North (Rebel) and wear a helmet and vest (didn't realise there were so many of us!) and I've been out a few times in the past week - but no crossed lines / crashes

But are you (Kitecrazzzy) the one who regularly slides up the beach wearing board and bindings and and stands there with kite overhead....and does squiggly dangly suicidy things very close to shore?........
