Can anyone advise me - I have Core ESP bar (previous version of Core Sensor bar), can I use it with different kites than just Core? (eg Airush Lithium)

... yes, so long its a 4 line kite! I don't think many brands put out un-even line length bars anymore so your safe.

Sometimes you may have to trim things up to get the same feel but if all things being equal then all good. Might be a good idea to check the lines for even length, make sure they aren't stretched and such!

In this case it will work between a Core bar and an Airush bar because they have the same layout of front lines, meaning that the " Y " (where your front lines begin to split) is located at roughly the same distance from the bar. Also, both bars use the very same safety system (dual front line with mini fifth line). You may have to remove and switch the Pigtails and Larks Head knots to make your connections but that's easy. It will also work with Cabrinha kites for example and vice-versa. You couldn't mix a Core bar with Ozone kites (or vice-versa) as the Ozone front lines have a very different layout of the " Y" and you would have to modify the bridle system of the kite to make it work properly. ... + 1 ^^^^. Yep, very good points, Y height is important too. Luckily the Core and as it turns out, Airush, is the same!

I tried a North bar on my Core kite and although it turned quicker, it had no power. This was due to the fact that the Y is higher and pulls the leading edge in and 'icecream cones' the kite. All the kites with a high Y point bar have the wingtips lift built in so the outward pull goes against the inward pull of lines creating a stable wing.

Anyway, good luck and give it a go!

actually, most of the time the higher Y just means that the front lines have to travel a longer distance and so are functionally shorter. If you just lengthen them a bit or shorten the back lines they work fine. usually just 2 cm. then you just have to match the release systems.
