Activated the safety on my brand new cabrinha overdrive recoil bar and the line jammed in the tube momentarily causing the kite to not flag out straight away. Then when packing up the line wouldn't pull back through "jammed". Anyone have this problem?

Take it back to where u bought it from. Warranty will cover all issues. I have 2017 Kite. No Probs, except not enough wind.

It could be the knot where the first line (flag-out line) joins the 8 metre line just below the Y. See if that is getting caught.

It's a known issue on cabrinha bars since 2016 the line jamming in the tube. They still won't acknowledge they ****ed up let alone do a safety recall.
Take it back to where you got it and get it replaced under warranty.

I have a 2016 recoil 1X bar and it does this as well. I find that there is a critical amount of force on the lines required for the 1X line to be pulled through the chicken loop because it is a larger diameter line for a short length that is elasticised.

Another problem that i am aware of is that the 1X line gets twisted in the recoil tube and doesnt untwist when you use the untwisting mechanism below the bar. You need to occasionally pull the 1X line through the chicken loop and manually untwist it. IF it gets twisted with a bit of sand in the tube then it would easily jam.

Apart from these minor issues its probably the best bar I have ever used.

. Thanks guys. I've got somebody from the shop looking at it tonight. Hopefully I'll get it sorted out pretty quick so I can use it again this weekend . Thanks for the input????
