Cabrinha kite

Hi I've never owned a cabrinha kite buying one with out a bar just wondering if all other bars work with cabrinha kites

no they dont. there is a list on the cabrinha website which tells you which bar is compatible with which kite.

I think if the kite year is 2009-13 then you need a specific IDS type bar as they bridles are set up for a high Y on the centre lines.

But realistically if the bar is four lines of even length (you can switch pigtails if needed), has a single line flagout safety then you're probably OK. It's probably more important that the bar has a working flagout safety system. In other words use a recent year bar.

Any four line bar with equal line lengths will fly most Cabrinha kites. This subject has been covered numerous times. But as a previous person said, use a more modern bar with a good flag out system. As far as high vs low Y goes. Take it with a pinch of salt; if you are a relatively conservative kiter (ie 95% of us). With line extensions any high Y becomes a lower Y and the kite still flies fine.

As previous person said. I didn't think about line extensions. But then again I don't live in WA,
