I was there during that swell, surfed about 500m down the road from the wedge and it was breaking like pipeline, one of the best surfs ive ever had

its in newport, california. Crazy isnt it? The best bit is at 3:34, where the body boarder gets smashed by the wave in mid air

i thought all surf ethusiasts would have seen the newport wedge at some point. there are a few really good vids of skim boarders skimming all the way out and getting standup barrels. i cant even comprehend how hard that would be.

haha thats the most funniest thing ive seen 4 ages. 3:40 onwards is my fav bit. I've surfed at a wedge before but not that big!

backwash makes it so funny

the craziest thing about that is that its a shorie and there massive backwash and is like waist deep water when it sucks up.

Bunch of my mates went there and 10th street and Laguna (all very good skim breaks) and now are part of local crew with George bryan.

Wish I was still into skimming and not so much into kiteing and skydiving.

if you think that was gnarly check the kiter at the end of this clip charging cyclops in W.A big big big gonads considering this break is two klm out
