Anyone know if there is a recall or fix on the new cabrinha IDSX white pump. They leak air out of the centre pump shaft; so you have trouble getting full pressure, and it takes way longer to inflate your kite. You can check whether yours is stuffed to by holding your finger over the end of your hose nozzle to seal, and you are still able to pump up and down. The old yellow ones were the quickest, most reliable hand pump on the market, new ones are a real step backwards. We are having a high fail rate of them around my local beach. 5 that I know of so far.

They're covered by warranty. I was given a replacement the other day.

The seal around the shaft crapped out and left black stuff on the shaft that made it hard to move up and down. It pumped ok but was just hard work.

The yellow ones would fail as well and were also replaced under warranty.

Part of the reason I use Cabrinha gear is that it is very reliable and when problems do occur it is fixed straight away with no hassles.

I have heard of some stores who start off with "... you must have crashed it into the beach ... " line but they always resolve the situation properly.

Yes... I've got a few I'm gonna hang up like xmas decorations. They sit nicely under my kite. I just can't decide whether to use a pine tree or something more exotic this year.
