Will be spending a week on Bruny in November. Family duties likely to be a dominant theme of the time there , but should be able to get away for a bit

Any hints about where to go in what conditions?

I was there briefly a while ago, but wasn't able to get out at all. The eastern side of the isthmus looked good. Western side looked less promising - no space to lauch, and really shallow a LONG was out, but could probably make it work. It looked like it would be pretty gusty in a sou-wester

Any suggestions greatly appreciated - especially the best place to get a wave

I agree - was there last year. I still get wood thinking about it

Unfortunately this year it is Bruny - and it is a lovely spot, but not strictly kiter heaven, unless anyone has any hints?

I have spent a week or so on Bruny for the last few summers at Cloudy Bay. Mostly windsurfing but setup for either is awsome in any wind from South - West (also a great beach for land sailing if the wind is light). Also is a top surf spot which gets the full brunt of the southerly swell. Are you from Tassy ? Conditions in Tassy can be anything in Tassy from the earliest seabreezes but most likely Westerly frontal stuff (i.e. small kite !)
