Awesome thread!
Those spins just make you feel dizzy, going biiig is where it's at!

The Edge seems to be a pretty decent jumper (for hangtime anyway), a while ago I found a clip of someone jumping even much bigger on an Edge.
I'll try to find it again..

@toppleover: Maybe that was a good jump, but generally I found those helmet cam videos a bit deceiving. Sometimes it looks like people get huge airs, and a split second later they are already touching ground again.

One of the best videos ever for me, from 5:26 on:

"Bring back BIG airs" ????
They have never gone away.
Regardless of all the coolth and steeze of boots and wakestyle - rada rada rada - the dream of boosting is what gets everyone into kiting and all the old school missile tricks are still what what stokes the joe public crowd.
All the coolth is only coolth to the talented minority who know the skill required and can appreciate it for that.
Kite to suit your yourself and let the world watch what turns them on.

(BtW all cred goes to craig66 leading the way in the huck and hope dept .Glorious big air with inglorious slammin wipeout that had everyone in stitches for ages ,)Blake and lloyds big airs and kiteloops and god forbid waveriding on TT's have been sublime .Good to see

love that 13 second vid .Big boost quick check over shoulder and look around (fruck I'm high ) commit to kiteloop , now were going backwards .quick look again to get bearings ,oh **** ,smash .and finally yessss "not only did I do it but I'm still alive" 13 seconds that seemed like 13 minutes .Check vid planted on shore for big moment ,shrit its pointin at the wrong place .no there I am, just got it, missed a bit but ........ sweeeeeet!!
I prefered this one of some nobody goin for it over jason slezaks convoluted vid ,unecessary ramp (and frankly fairly unimpressive jump .jeez i saw daz jump 2 islands last year ) and "look at moi " beginning ,walkin along pretending that the camera isn't filming him ,just like every other convoluted try hard kitesurf vid out there ...snore)

To dial a 50m high jump (10 story building) over land and trees is really something. But to land it exactly at the spot you want it makes it extreme. In my book it needs very high level of skill and kite control. I don't think there is any role of the down ramp apart from making the stunt more dangerous.
Sorry if it was not clear in my previous post.

^^^ There is no way in the world that jump was 50m high.

50m across, maybe, but not 50m up.

Guys, all those red thumbs over my post...
Make it clear, I shared a video with you of a stunt I thought was remarkable, and it was done some years ago.... but now I know you all can do better than that (sorry that I missed the videos where you did them).... and you just somehow never appeared to do them around the beaches I kited in the last 10 years
50m, 45 or 15, I can't care less as long as it's impressive and it is graceful...if you doubt, you go and measure or you argue from your couch....
...this thread was about sharing, I believe....
...was wrong......
...aaah, and those guys in newcastle doing these jumps in their sleeps......keep dreemin guys......
I am just after a 3 hours session in 25kn, and I can't really take you more serious than that..... but see you on the beach.....

What red thumbs?I don't understand your post .It starts out with big smiles and then you launch into an attack on people outside of where you live that actually jump when they are kiting .We can't help it if you live in an area where no one jumps.Lighten up ,some of you WA people are just so uptight
