Sat down with a few of the team last night and watched the new kite movie - 'Big Windy' on Blu-ray... Had it running in the shop for the last few days on DVD...

AWESOME MOVIE!!!! It's kind of cross between Land of Lahara and Coming together... with some Autofocus in there as well.

Really good mix of riding and lifestyle shots - amazing scenery, awesome riding from about 500 different riders like Ian Aldredge, Ben wilson, Top Hat, Felix Pivec, Mauricio and Tuva - plus all the other 'not so' big named riders... The huge amount of styles and equipment make for some awesome footage - straps, strapless, skimboards, twintips with straps, boots - even sitting down on surfboards... It also goes for a worthy amount of time - almost an hour!

If you've got a PS3 or Blu-ray player - it's definately work the upgrade to Blu-ray, as far as i know - this is the first ever kitesurfing movie to be released in full 1080p High Definition. Every water droplet, palm tree, hair on the riders legs etc are crystal clear - and the surround sound just makes it the complete entertainment package.

It's definately something worth sitting down with a few beers, great mates and some pizza to watch...

Cheap too - $35 for the DVD & $59 for Blu-ray... Available online or in store from all good kite stores... Go grab a copy...

Excellent service from Bilderback productions. I noticed the advert on BW.com just over a week ago. Ordered it Thursday and it arrived on the Monday. Yeah, I also got the blu ray version and the imagery, especially the "whales shot" is nothing short of amazing. I would have brought it locally but knew a wet weekend and no kiting was coming.

This is the best kitesurfing DVD I've seen in a long time, just watched the blue ray version at home its awesome!
If you are suffering withdrawal and need to at least see some kitesurfing this is an excellent choice, but it will make you want to go kitesurfing.

Just watched it - definately best fiiming by far

The movie personalizes it especialy showing the locals & awesome scenery - setting the imagination ablaze with travel ideas, even if it remains just a dream..

I had wondered how long it would take for kitemovie makers to realise that people like to be entertained and filming kiteing alone doesnt cut it...
