I used to.glad.wrap the bag a.few.times 5 or six times worked well or go.to crazy Clarks and get one if those cheap moving bags about five bucks and put inside and can.write.on.it with permanent.marker or.put a tag. Etc

Aus post has been the cheapest option, unless you or the receiver have an account with a freight company in what case they offer bulk rates if you're a regular customer

Make sure you send it rego post so the aus post staff don't misplace it ???, or if youre sending to a buyer you can send it c.o.d where they will need to make payment for the kite when they pick it up, Aus post then sends a cheque back to you in the mail.

I believe it will as they can then charge u by volume. Greater than weight. An odd shaped round ball and they can only weigh it, saves plenty $$.
Or at least this the story at my local Aus Post.

This is what the people at the post office will use to calculate postage when you front up at the counter. It's fairly simple. smaller, lighter, slower, cheaper

Wont find anything cheaper than e-go.com.au. Shipped a kite to perth for 17$ so not a valid argument when negotiating a sale from the buy and sell

It seems to vary depending on your destination. I got a quote from the e-go and Auspost web sites and they were almost identical for a parcel going from Melbourne to Albany.
