What happened to Best?Ive had a bit of a hiatus from kiteboarding 5 years now and it seems they have disappeared
off the radar

They've gone kahoonas up

Best got bought by a rich Spanish guy, who wasn't real good with money. Sponsored a bundle of people and didn't pay them.

So the designer and most of the distribution jumped ship and started Eleveight. They've been able to release some pretty sick kites.

Best is pretty much dead, no parts available, but selling really cheap stuff online only, not sure of who is designing them or what experience they have.

I seen some very very cheap kites online for sale from their online store.

Would seem so. No warranty, no chance of customer service and good luck getting your money back.

I'd be very cautious about parting company with your hard earned in a gig that's going down the pan, you might think your saving a bit , but good luck,
you may as well flick a coin to see if you get the product,
no spares
no warranty
no resale
but hey it's cheap

Jeez those kites are cheap, I'd get in there for sure if I was looking for a new kite, cant go wrong for that price

To be fair to Best, they have been VERY good in supplying parts and looking after warranty for bits and bobs even after they shut their doors to the public. There is still someone at Best HQ in Spain reponding to all emails and warranty. We had bladders sent late last year.

Credit where credit is due.
