Imho it's a 50/50 kite and board combo for getting respectable height, if flying an edge you need a board that'll handle the power to make the most, more rocker and decent outline, able to hold a very powered edge , if it's fast on the go that's a bonus also a kite that'll keep pulling when you edge hard and not make you flatten out for it to recover, for me I always found a 135 monk and 7 edge was a great mix, now prefer my 8 enduro and bronq 135, I was pretty impressed with a North TS for loading up but very ordinary in general in our conditions,
hated some boards that I swore would be great so get on some demos if possible
