hey guys,

ive been thinking of placing an anemometer at narrabeen for a while now which could be accessed by the general public for live feeds of wind.

Anyone got any comments or suggestion on this? Has someone done this before? or tried?

Yes, I used to run one that laurie put up here on seabreeze. do you live at Narra? PM me your number and i'll give you call. we have the meter ready to go just need to get on a roof to put it up etc and its all ready to go up here on seabreeze.

Waste of time putting it up on the northern beaches, the wind never blows up there.

Mate! Don't be dissing the Cappuccino Coast! While you guys are kiting in that woeful chop you call Botany Bay, we are up here enjoying the world's best lattes and watching the wind almost blowing and knowing that one day it might come up enough for a kite. It's a lifestyle thing. No wind, no worries.

The only problem with down south is as reported in the second post of this thread:

You may get wind but with this problem on the southside, I am more than happy to stay North of the bridge with the gorgeous girls and clean water, having a latte or two in between sessions...

Amazing you guys get any kiting in, in between getting "stung"...
