Just wondering if anyone has any advice on wind speed in Albany?

What size kite for 85kg on the harbour?

Many fickle days 12-16 knots.

Can get windy though - 20-25 knots max.

Usually gusty.

The summer Easterly is not a gusty wind...

Typical afternoon Easterly when you get a seabreeze effect on top of a system driven wind is about 15-20 knots.

Thanks Morts.

So would you think a 10m would be about right for 85kg twintip?

Sorry Cooky that I can't help you with as I'm a poley. There is probably some Albany kiters on here that may be able to help with that sort of advice.

Just remember in Albany you need the wind to from the East first to have any chance of a Seabreaze effect later.

Hey Bud,

We mostly use 9s and 12s down here, so bring your 10 and I'm sure you'll get out.
