Using a cabrinha bar on a non cabrinha kite?

It sux!!!

What's the deal??
I've checked the lines and they don't seem right.
Centrelines are deff longer.

Has anybody else had this problem when using a non cabrinha kite with an overdrive bar?

Do cabrinha use different size lines?

I'm really confused and I'm getting shotty at spending $1500+ and my gear won't work!!!

Anybody want a cheap cabrinha bar?
Anybody wanna swap a cabrinha bar for a good compstick??

Rear lines prob shrunk, quickest/easiest fix, just pull your depower to get the lines back to even.

My Ocean Rodeo flew like a pig on a different bar that I was using until my O Rodeo bar came in.
It turned out the back lines were about 300mm too long.
It took me awhile to work this out. I borrowed an O Rodeo bar from the shop and ran all the different bars I had out at a park.
They were all equal lengths except the Ocean Rodeo set.
I had to add 300mm long extensions to the front lines to make it fly properly.

Maybe get an experienced kiter to fly your kite and see what he thinks.
Or borrow a slingshot bar from someone and compare line lengths.

1 / Did you buy your Cabrinha bar new? What year bar is it?
2 / What kite are you trying to fly it on? (Some kites shouldn't be flown with that configuration. A North Evo for example which is designed on a bar with a "high V" not a low V connecting to the top of the depower strap.)
3 / How much longer are your centre lines?

The Overdrive bar, particularly the 1X is defiantly leading the way as far as control systems go.

I'd be interested in hear your definition of "It sux". Simple tuning can make your gear work quiet efficiently.

At lot of Kiters have been buying the latest overdrive for many different models, Gaastra Sparks, Naish Parks, Ozone C4's etc and all have great use of their bars.

I expect if you bought a second hand overdrive bar, that the front lines have stretched (which happens naturally overtime) you can easily adjust the line length using the adjustable pigtails. You want to get your lines connected to a fixed point (leash around a post for example and tie the pigtails to the clip), go and hold the bar end, fully powered under tension. All lines should be the same length.

You'll be able to get a 2016 Overdrive working well on the Fuel. Easy as. Just get someone to rig it that knows what they are doing.

laurie make a subscribe button, i dont want to miss the update where ragz asks us for best way to get a pure c out of a tree

(use a long stick or pole and poke the lines etc over the branches or if no ones around just break/cut the tree down or i have a feeling in your case simply push it out as im sure your going to be up there with it)
