Hi kiters & snowkiters

This year again, we are going to Wanaka - NZ for a month of intense snowkite. We have been renting the same house for years and this year we have a room available as someone had to pull off.If you are a good kiter (water), already snow kiting or not, please feel free to be part of the adventure.

The success of a good snow kite trip is the understanding of the spots around, we have 5 years experience in NZ and we can guide you along the nice mountain ranges. We are only doing snowkite every single day but if you want to go down the slopes (Cardrona/Treble Cone) it's up to you to organise your own day trip.


Warning : We are not teaching how to snowkite, we can give tips but this trip requires to have a really good level in kiting (especially light wind kiting). We dont provide any gear. We can suggest you the right gear and size.

For the house, the rules are pretty simple and based on sharing the cost of living (food/alcool/car rental/fuel).

For the room itself, it's a twin room available from the 21st of August to the 09th of septembre.
The price are :
- 30$/night/pers (shared room)
- 50$/night/pers (individual room)

So tempted with the lack of snow here in Aus

For none wind days how easy is it to get to the resorts from where your staying?
I've been thinking of coming over at the start of september for some slopes so timeing works out but if the wind is up would definitely be more interested in kiteing.

Wanaka is between 2 ski resorts : Cardrona and Treble Cone.
It takes 30 to 45 minutes drive to go there from Wanaka. There are daily buses from Wanaka if you dont plan to have a car.

It takes the same time for the 2 closest snowkite spot : Snow farm and Cardrona.
