After 18 yrs of kiting and many different kits and styles I now prefer my Bandit 10m for all disciplines (and saving cash)..

5-12kts landboard, 8-16 for buggy, 12-19 foil, 16-27 surf, 26 to 35 gust TT.. all fun and manageable
30kt range!! No other kites ive owned offer this..

Given all of your other equipment you could replace your 10m ........... with lots of different kites.

But yes I ran a 10m only quiver for a couple of years.

But for foiling and wave riding I've bought ozone Reos now and wish I had done it from the get go.

I'm not convinced anymore of the all rounder type kite approach. For me anyway they just do everything so so .

I used to live with 2 kites. Now I've moved to 3. It's a hard habit to quit. But there is a lot to be said for running with 2 kites. A 7 and 10 would fit well.

haha, I must be a kite slut. Reo's 6 8 10 12, 4 Uno, 12 Hyperlink. The 12 Reo is the least used, the 8 is the most. I flew a Bandit this season and it sure is a great jumping kite, pretty smooth, but have not been a fan of their bridle system. I can see why people love this kite though, plug and play.

I am a mix between Dafish and Straddiepaul.

I have 12 chrono, 10 edge, 8 enduro, 6 reo, 4 uno. So many kites.

But. I could get away with only one. As I use one kite 90% of the time.

My 8m enduro does the business from 10 knots to 35
10-20 on the foil.
12-22 on the buggy,
15-25 on the landboard.
20-35 on the mutant.

However, I like to be more perfectly powered and depending on conditions/toys chosen I may require a different kite.

Interestingly I can hold more power on my landboard than buggy, and can hold more power on my buggy than the foil!
But I have big arse tires on my landboard, bigfoots on my buggy and I'm hardwired.

I been flying the same 5&7 for the past 5 years.. on my 3rd bar!! And 3rd harness. And 3rd board.. I need a new bar lines harness and board for the next couple of seasons I think.. Kites are fine

I've got an 8, it's an xr4. That's it!
If the wind is wrong I'll just hang out with my family, I love them.

Have a 7 & 10, but 7 & 9 would also do the trick

If one kite I would go an 8m so anything less than 20kn would not bother

Guess this is my point, we all probably have 1 main go to kite
It is cheaper to buy a different size board than another kite
I was going down the Reo path but found them to have the smallest range, need more sizes..
For me its about different rides not different kites

True above. Still use my 10m rebel principally from 17/18 to 30 on the TT. But now as with plummet my 8m (now a reo) is used just as much on the foil and in the waves. So it's only two main kites now, specifically designed and suited to the riding style at play.

The current bandit would be an average foiling kite (although I the 8m 2018 bandit I used a few times was decent on a foil, not great, but nicely balanced. A 10m would be less than ideal given the way it flies...so it can't be that good in the surf either. It is a very average unhooking kite to as my son found out.

It's a really good plug and play jumping, freeride kite though, nicely balanced due to multiple generations of development. Used to be more all round but has defiantly been moved to the jumping freeride end of the spectrum hence the foiling, surfing side has been compromised somewhat.

But you always make work what you have and if the kite isn't holding back progression in those areas then why not.

I like a smooth flowing style, nothing extreme any more
Sounds like the enduro may be a contender for value but still looking for others..

Yeah a one kite quiver is a compromise. It depends how specialist you are in each discipline as to how much compromise you can withstand.

My 8m Enduro jumps well, works well on the foil and I don't feel for more surfing down the line either. It doesn't do anything fantastically well, but its good across the board. But i'm not a specialist either so I don't care too much if the kite is not quite as good as a dedicated kite for that style.

That said in the prime wind ranges for my given kite sports I have specialist kites which do work well.

Chrono is an insane buggy, landboard and ultra light wind foil weapon.
Edge is a boosting machine on the water 20-25 knots.
6 reo slays the waves 25-30 knots and rides sweetly on the foil 18-25.
4 uno pretty damn good for Drexler style 20-30 knot foiling tomfoolery.... Plus it also doubles as a stupid wind kite for mutant and buggy, as does the 6m reo.

So... One kite quiver is workable for man of many toys, multi kite quiver expands the grin factor to a wider range of conditions and choice.

Now the interesting thing is this. Once you have a multi kite quiver, it doesn't cost anymore to update the quiver on a yearly basis. This is because your 5 kites wear out 5 times slower than 1 kite. Well... you end up with more water time with more kites so I guess there will wear out marginally faster than if you only had one and missed sessions.

Unless of course you are a gear slut and must have the latest gear every year. Then you will be bleeding out the rectum with the amount of money you spend on new kites.

Well I find that surprising. I've flown the 8m 2018 and the 10m 2018 and 2019 along with about 10 others. It flies forward in the window and generates a lot of apparent wind which amounts to a grunty powerful type kite. It would therefore be a crapola surf kite but was fun for board offs etc. and general boosting.

The 8m 2018 was okay on the foil and there was some drift for sure but nothing like the 2011 catalyst then Reo I now use.

It just cant. You can't have it all in a kite. Just Comprimising.

Flew the 10m enduro on the foil and that did have a fair degree of drift actually on the right settings. Didn't like it though powered on the freeride setting. Just don't like low Y kites for big air stuff for some reason.

2019 slingshot rpm 10m is my 1 kite quiver.

Dose everything I need it to do. Even loops like a beast.

Slingshot Fuel 13m does everything I need, for me. Loops like smooth butter and stings like a bee (i.e. great upwind)!

Yeah, I have a Bandit 11 and 9, but use my 11 90% of the time.Actually, It was my only kite for 3 years, going from 12 to 25 knots (sometimes a bit more.)I agree in having more boards to go on light winds instead of having a big kite.
