Are the guys who use them for racing strapless or strapped?

Saw this yesterday on the IKO website - They split the fleet into Race boards and foils, apparently very big in France.

I remember hearing Brian Lake being interviewed at the North Americans and questioned about foils. He said something along the lines of great for Light and Moderate airs but if anyone can sort it out in heavier airs he will. FWIW.

I think Brian also mentioned that he needs to master going fast without falling off in heavy wind.

Hey Ric

it seems like most of the guys are racing with their hydrofoils with straps

however I would recommend to learn with only one strap: it helps to find balance at the begining and you're out faster when crashing ('cause it happens a lot at the begining!)

Some guys have two "head" of the foil for different wind confitions: a wider one for lighter days, and a thin one for windier days
