4 days and nothing.
Even the windsurf foilers have stuff to share.
But all good for me atm just wondering if the same for others.

I expect all foils now correctly shimmed.

Yes it's been quiet on the foiling front for me. I've spent much of winter hibernating as I've found the wind mostly unsuitable for my reduced quiver (my 9m Hyperlink is in for a bridle repair) for the past several months. Either bugger all wind or nuking storm fronts. Had a great 3 hour session last Sunday on my 6m in 15 - 20kts and am now really amped for the coming season. The seabreeze pattern is starting to make an appearance here in WA, so there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Nothing over winter but I've managed 6 sessions in the last 8 days. The last 3 sessions were on my new 120 jshapes and gave me a start at dialing in using that. Last couple were with my new 12m hyperlink ultralight which is awesome. I'm sure I'll be well powered in 10knts and easily flying in 8.

Brissy offered 1-2 days per week foiling over winter on the bay. Now with the seabreezes starting foiling is almost a daily event. Out on a 5.5 in a warm northerly 2 days ago, yesterday a 12 and today is looking too strong at 30 knots so maybe a SB day.

I had a quick session at Sandy point on weekend but poor old wetsuit has some holes and I can only take so much cold water therapy.
waiting on my XXLW Spitfire Windfoil to arrive which is floating around in the freight never never.
also finalising the last details of our own design foil board for wind foil and Sup foil
2 sets of tracks plus Tuttle box.

That's only cause the big boss found something for you to do. Lol.

You could have kited tuesday.

3 to 4 sessions a week primarily due to riding a foil. Love the bloody things.

Have just bought first foil not Chinese and a track box and I am now looking for pedestal to board nut / bolts.. a bit pissed off spending this much and still need more hardware...
So not happy!!
It would leave a much better taste knowing where you stood up front..

Are the nuts which fit into a slingshot track box custom or generic shape (M8 bolts)? So for example.. would a N.Pride Windsurfer nut fit?
Thanks

Getting in plenty of days in Jervis Bay lately. I have been back for four weeks since I was away or 4.5 months and have been out on average three days a week, which is pretty good for this time of the year.

usually mounting bolts and hardware come with the board not the foil.

I think my Naish foils had the bolts included but no shims.

Perth has dished out nothing but rubbish wind on the days I have been able to foil, so nothing to report unless you wanna hear some whinging. On the brighter side, I bought a 21m Flysurfer Sonic VMG. I will not miss out on a session due to lack of wind as I'm not sure 5 knots even constitutes wind.

I'll write up a review once I get it in the air.

All new and old foil gear presents will receive a personal SB thanks.

I think that you should get a special title as an over 60 Foiler.
of course if I was 59 I'd say over 59.

maybe another level title for over 70 but only shimmers

This winter has been exceptionnal if you can get on the water at the right time. The wind never last for long... have to be ready to swim couple times but the rest is good.
I have been foiling at least 3 times a week in light wind.

Yesterday might have been the best session so far in 7 to 15 knots, glassy water, 9m light weight single strut proto ... those kites are amazing in light wind. Dont need the full race gear for a fun session in marginal wind.

See you on the water... today could be another good session.

Yep, yesterday was nice. 30 - 40min on the 6m before it dropped at about 4:30. Very troughy conditions this weekend in Perth. I think today will be one for the 15m + foil kites though.

Hardly been out kiting, but surf foiling at least twice a week. Wind has been all over the place or on when at work!. But foiling waves - you get a session just about every time. Foiling on kite, sup & now prone board to feed the addiction.

Where do you do your surf foiling at, I am quite keen to get into this sport?
