Twice I have felt I was ready to go to 30in mast from my now very comfortable 24in.
Feels like I am starting all over again, even moving board about and into position is different.
Is it just me or have others had a bit of a challenge?

A few goes and you will be fine.

Do you have it mounted on the same board?

There is a slight adjustment getting used to the riding height and crashing is a bit more fun but I do not remember any other issues.

6 inches should make next to no difference apart from giving you more head room. Is it possible your mounting the new mast incorrectly? ie: back to front

Not sure about the on water thing, but when riding focus on riding mostly at half mast high till you feel more comfortable

Pretty much what the rest say. I would add this. Keep focus on rolling your hips forward and driving the front of the board downward. The more speed you have the more the subtle the hips become and it will be more about that than front foot drive. I think right now it's more about your headspace than your skill. Wear your armor and go for it. Two sessions and you will forget what all the fuss is about.

I have checked mast and it seems when I fitted the 30in the wing angle is slightly upwards compared with my other setup so have adjusted to slightly down as was with the 24in.
My brain now says all good so headspace is positive.

Unless the mast and fuselage are in one piece the relative angle of the front and rear wing should be identical provided you are using the same fuselage. The angle that the mast mounts on the board could be different which may be difficult to adjust depending on your mounting system. Either way I would definitely not change the angle relationships of front and rear wings as this will make large changes to its performance.

Every stage of progression on the foil feels like that. It feels impossible to achieve. Then one day after repeated crashes it clicks and you are off to the next stage.

just keep crashing until you crash less and less.

If your fuselage angle changes with a mast change then check that the masts are both cut square.
they should be.
