Hey guys.
I know there's the Cabrinha double agent, but are there any other hybrid kitesurf/foilboard options available and worth considering..? I cant afford to keep my secret weapon AND buy a dedicated board for the foil I've ordered.

Slingshot Converter. Nice board and there are a few others around too choose from.

I get the sense that many of these dual boards are not quite surfboards. Double agent is more thin twintip type construction. Haven't heard great reviews of Liquid Force foilfish in waves. Nobile has one of the split boards that is similar to double agent I think, looks great for travel, but $$$.

The Slingshot Converter is the first one I've seen that is really intended for both -- based on Alien Air board I think.

I recently FYI'd my own converter imitation: older BWS Drifter, 4 through hull holes, works for both. I taped up the holes to use for surf, tape came off immediately, but the holes didn't seem to make any noticable difference. Board is a bit bigger than the surfboard I normally foil with, so a bit more swing weight, but was actually kinda nice on touch downs, didn't knife into the water as much.

That zeeko is a nice looking board. Interesting that it has 4 holes instead of tracks. Can't see holes on top for through hull, so maybe just screwed into inserts or a plate in board? If done well, I think that could be stronger than fin tracks for holding the foil.

Only negative I can see ... price tag! I won't be buying one any time soon, as I've already invested the $9 in converting my kitesurfboard for foil use. But dreams are free.

Fone has a dual purpose board as well. I have the converter and found it is good for bay chop. The nose is hard to bury. Tail slides out sometimes when edging hard. You may need to get different screws as the stock ones are countersunk for the slingshot foil

Hey mate, if I recall well, you built some sort of surfboard not long ago, correct? Why don't you just build a foilboard as well? They are pretty straight forward to make and won't cost more than $250 given that you already have all the required tools.

What foil have you ordered?

I've ordered one of a production run sourced by James at Specialist Kiteboarding... and yup, I really should make a board, but time is the killer for me at the moment. Perhaps a Christmas project..? Not sure I can wait that long..! :P
