on another note the Kiwis have shown just how strong they are as a sailing nation , for such a small country the kiwis are always at the pointy end of the fleet no matter if it's Americas cup or round the world yacht racing. Looks like they got the jump on us in Aus with top 10 placings in both men's and women's kite racing in the gold fleet . Could be some serious competition in the southern hemisphere.

Dave Roberts NZ only been racing for 3 months and got into the finals, i believe he got 9th overall.

I think I remember reading on the polys forum that kite racing has a long way to go

Yeah they had alot of people, issue is the junior and female develpoment. Last worlds for rs:x had 20 more females and "junior" racing is pretty much non exsistant in kiting.
