Are the wings and fuselage one piece?

Is the mast-fuselage connection standard tuttle?

My existing mast is 95cm with deep tuttle on the top and standard tuttle on the bottom. Could I use that mast? Can I get the 112cm mast with deep tuttle on the top?

Who is doing the production in NZ? There have been widespread problems with high performance carbon foils going from prototypes to production.

I had the joyous fun of being on a windsurfing clinic at Lake Clearwater on the South Island while the AC was going on back then.
our Bach, owned by an Aussie along with all Aussie clinic participants had the only working TV.
which meant all the Kiwis there had to watch the AC in our Bach.
needless to say it does our hearts good to be able to ****stir a bunch of captive Kiwis with no hope of answering back.
there were a couple of Germans, they claimed they were Swiss but they sounded like Germans and had no sense of humour so they had to be German, right?

hi mate,yes you are right the fuselage/wings are one-piece. We were the first to implement this in kite foil production with the Mako1 and it has now become the standard with the fastest foils on market (Mikes Lab, Enata and KFA) for various reasons.Our long race mast has a deep tuttle. We do offer any lengths in mast with plate adaptor as well.We did our protoyping with Core and are now doing the production with C-Tec in Auckland. They have an amazing team (including some keen kiters) and make top quality carbon fibre parts. The finish and quality is amazing!!! Combined we have extensive experience going into this. We do not use any foam or core like other manufacturers. Everything is solid carbon with optimised water flows/ friction/drag finish.

We are also very lucky to have help from the main structural engineer/ designer of Team New Zealand

What is so bad about using a foam core, sure your fuselage isn't full carbon fibre?

I suppose if a foam core foil (mast and or fuselage) is stiff and doesn't break then there is no problem. As best I am aware the top race foils are all solid. Am gunna guess and say the best/heaviest race guys would load up foil three/four times as much as free ride guys, so need solid.

KFA review on the MAKO V3 foil and mast Hi guys my name is Clint Smith from Townsville. I don't usually review gear however I am so impressed with the new KFA Mako V3 foil, I think it would be an injustice not to make comment. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to test the KFA products as they are developed, and I have been racing the MAKO V2 foil for a couple of years and love its ability to perform.3 weeks ago, I purchased the latest Mako V3 race foil and mast and OMG!!!!! I have had about 10 x 3 hr sessions on it in varying conditions and I am not one to rave but this thing is awesome. The foil is fast, great upwind, sensational downwind but the absolute most impressive point is it is super stable. If I may say so, its embarrassing how easy it is to ride. To be honest I feel like I am cheating!!! Within 3 weeks of riding this gear, all aspects of my kiting/racing have improved dramatically due to the stability of this wing, and the ease with which it performs. So far if feels there is no end as to how hard and fast you can push this thing. Well I can't rave enough about this new MAKO V3 and I would recommend it to anyone.A big congratulation to Marv and the design engineers at KFA for a job well done on this latest product.I can't wait to test the upcoming MAKO V4

So what's different about the v4?

the v4 is nearly 700mm wide and higher aspect. hopefully see the first one in a couple of weeks. i will keep you posted.
