HI All

I'm headed to exmouth in a few weeks and wondered if any of you have experience foiling in the cape range NP? I'll be staying at Osprey bay and was planning to give Sandy Bay a go but I'm not sure where will be deep enough. I am still learning and prone to a fair bit of porpoising!! Any advice greatly received

I foiled sandy bay back in March this year. Amazing spot. Only had to body drag a few meters out

Wobiri access is good as well. Closer to the northern tip near the lighthouse.

What about the turtles? Aren't they flooding in about then?

Sandy Bay is awesome but can get a little shallow in spots at low tide, high tide its fine.

Wobiri is a bit deeper once you drag out a little bit.

Yes there will be a few turtles around, moreso at Wobiri, Sandy Bay doesn't seem to have as many in my experience.

Also the Gulf side near Budegi boat ramp is ok in the morning Easterlies, long way from Osprey though.

This was a rare NWer at Sandy Bay on a foil.

Use a tough alloy foil. I saw plenty of turtles in all the spots I kited up there. Turtles, sharks, stingrays, whales - lots of stuff in the water for a foil to hit, but that's one of the greatest parts of Ningaloo - the wildlife in the water. You definitely need to keep your wits about you up there.

Sandy beach just after in August for 28 days.Yardie creek lefts surfing ,fishing too early for kiting just the odd northwester. Then sandy beach Twin Tip mainly but could easily Foil say with a 70 cm mast.
