Hi,

So, i'd like to throw it out there and ask-

What board are you running?

What brand of fins are you using?

What size fins are you using?

Do you have more than one set for different conditions?

How much more performance did you notice upgrading from standard fins to performance fins?

North LTD 2013
Tectonic Maui
42CM front- 38 cm Back
No-
Yet to ride on new fins- Will report back later.

If your interested in the fastest fins- (Johnny Heineken rides these in his mikeslab) I believe Marvin @ Intheloop may have a few sets left!

Im really interested in seeing the downwind potential of these fins currently having problems with keeping my board stable on the downwind legs and from what i've read will help with stability and directional issues on the downwind legs.

Also very keen to see the upwind performance of completely riding the fins in light winds..

Cheers

Which north is 2013? Is the same as 2012 green monster?
If so, I have the same board
Came with stock 3x 43cm.
Rode this way for about 3 weeks learning the trade. Fins felt powerful but little draggy.
Got Tectonics Talons, 42 + 40. Arguments for it was that I'll race 90% of the time locally in very light wind. Talons have slightly longer chord that shoul make it easier to maintain laminar flow thru lulls and they are little easier on downwind. That's the theory anyway.
Rode them one day, fins felt good, slippery. Did not have a chance to do compare with T-43k
Cant is 3 deg

I am running a 2012 183 x 65 Naish Venturi. It came with 38cm Naish fins. I have recently purchased 2 x 42.5cm with 4 deg cant + a 40 cm back fin manufactured in Maui by MeanLine and available from Briskites. Speed and up wind performance is considerably better and has delayed the need to go to a bigger board for the moment!

Mean Lines race fins are going to be seen a lot more now that Alex Aguera is working with Kai Hopf and heading up the testing and development.
In stock in Sydney also.
Fins in the pic are 42.5 sidey's with a 40 rear. Cant 4 degrees.

rode this board and fin setup at botany yesterday.
20knots and pretty choppy.

the fins where great.
drove up wind well and where easy to ride off the breeze.

can highly recommend
