Charts show a front passing over Saturday morning. Then southerlies after that. Nothing near devonport Sometimes in a southerly you can get out in east inlet near stanley, nearly 2 hours' drive from devonport. Low tide, riding in the channel. But it will be really gusty in that post-frontal stuff. Likely endless rain squalls passing through with swinging wind and massive variation in strength. So don't hold your breath. Over winter I get out maybe every 3-4 weeks.
Ral Inn, while not a kitefoiler (but windsurfer and foiler), I have sailed Devo a fair bit. I've found in a Nor wester the best location is out near Moorlands Beach which is just east of Devonport airport. Go down Moorlands Rd til you hit the beach. Then turn left and head westwards about 1/2 a km and you'll stop at a headland. If you walk another few 100 m west along the beach you should be able to get enough clearance to sail past the headland. There's some good slightly sheltered waters in close and offshore the swell can get pretty big. In those sub 15 knot winds it can be a bit fickle. I'll try and upload a screenshot of the location.
