they use approx 25% of the world production and far more than any other country.
I dont think it helps there own manufacturing industry to be competitive with the rest of the world with an elevated dollar.

US energy policy causes a lot of the meddling in other countries for the US's own benefits only, as they are so reliant on oil imho

Didnt Iran threaten to blow Israel to dust or was that just the rantings of a maniac or was it media manipulation? Not sure if Israel would come to any other countries assistance if that was the case elsewhere. This just gives the US an excuse to go and invade iran. Most other countries like china, russia, france, etc havent invaded another country for a long time and I dont think it is there policy to do it, as it s not good business. So I dont see why US feel the need to do it?

This could kick start a wide array of issues... Worldwide economic recessions have always produced world wide wars but let's hope it won't be the case...

I used to work with an evironmental scientist who worked on groundwater sampling in the Nevada desert. They had to do it with a remote controlled robot. It was extremely radioactive.
