Righto - I used to go to KAT, find what I want, and click on 'download torrent '
A little box popped up at the bottom taskbar, same as if I was opening a picture or video etc, I clicked on that and it automatically opened BitTorrent for me, with the field/s populated with the file I wanted. Easy.Now KAT has been closed, there are mirror sites that look the same, but no matter what I do it won't automatically get bittorrent going.
Copying links n stuff and pasting into BitTorrent does not work.

Easy way?

Tried any other torrent sites? Eztv is fine and kat.am is workin fine.

^^ Kat.am does indeed seem to work but wants me to register, none of the other kat sites ever did.

I only dl music and tv shows (Ballers and bear grylls!) and it's been ok.

Are you visiting in incognito mode (not vpn)? I don't get near as many pop ups or ads when i do however i think its just part and parcel of illegal downloading.

There's a bit of a void at the moment, kickass was the only decent one around. pirate bay works but is suckful and often overloaded, reload, reload, reload, wait, reload.

Something else will spring up to take it's place before long..

torrenting is too much of a pain since netflix, if it wasn't for better call saul & GOT I wouldn't bother at all..

I still use pirate bay. Clixk on tge magnet icon beside the file. Adds straoght to utorrent.

I have no fruit products in the house and not ever going to have. They are utterly banned. So that option's out.

Similarly Foxtel is an utter rip off unless you're sports mad. I'm not paying ~$50/m for default package + drama for 1 show when Netflix does it all except GOT for $12/m. With no ads, unlike foxtel. And no supporting Murdoch as well.

There's a lot of suckers paying ~$50/m x 24m minimum = $1200 for GOT.

try $120/month for foxtel HD, 2 boxes, sport, movies plus a few rentals from their store

thats why we need fibre optic internet to create some competition.

I don't know why anyone still bothers with torrenting and pop-ups and disappointing downloads while exposing yourself to who-knows-what and then converting and setting up your network and **** to stream to your TV.

Been using it for years, super fast and never had an issue with anything downloaded nor a complaint from my ISP....

That said I only take full HD mainstream movies and series for my media server...can't vouch for the more risque stuff if that's your bent...
