New to surfski downwinding, looking for others / forums / groups / info etc for downwinding on the South Coast, Batemans area especially. More generally, is there no surfski forum here?

Remember those things great grand pappy bitched about way back in the day? That's thems.

Before SUP's became popular they use to be the most hated of surf craft
So you might consider them to be sit down SUP's

Try oceanpaddler on fb . Commercial group but they advertise events around the country. Might have knowledge of south coast.

You don't see many Goater's out these days,use to be a lot 20 years ago.they were missiles if hit by one & copped a lot of abuse by surfers.

Couple of worthwhile groups on FB. They will help and you might even find someone to take you out.

Both are good places to start.
Also check out the YouTube channel of Expedition Kayaks in Sydney for some inspiration.

No ski forum here, but lots of good stuff elsewhere.
