With lots of places like coffee shops now refusing to accept cash, have we been drawn into a cashless society?

I think we have, and i dont mind.

Having previously stopped using my credit card in order to only spend my money, i noted that my replacement debit card now is also contactless. Its a good thing.

Shall i open a cash laundering business for all those people out there with plenty of cash but no cards?

Yes, before there was cashless available, but now places are insisting on it! Places are now refusing to accept cash.

Which is fine, as I am broke and living under a bridge with lots of silver.

My "conspiracy" senses have been triggered... not only are we looking at cashless, I think we're looking at a 1 world currency.

Reasoning in brief:
1.- CB's injecting HUGE stimulus in to a closed economy. Once inventory exhausts wtf is that money gona buy?
2.- It's happening globally, so there will be a coordinated effort to reduce inflation.
3.- How do u address the huge volatility in currencies, and it's effects on trade?

During the bush fires you were screwed without cash because there was no power . No cash means a loss of freedom. A bank account is just a number on the screen

No, there was an article about this in on news.com.au this morning. Apparently if they have a sign up clearly saying this before you enter into the sale, they are within their rights to refuse cash. I would have never thought it either, but apparently its true.

So hoarding cash is not going to solve all of life's problems.
