l wii start this one of the old Agnew pub about 500 km inland from Geraldton. when l was a young l worked on a goldmine in agnew all we had was that pub many fond memory's of l believe it was est 109 years ago wow.

Lyndoch SA (Barossa Valley). Nice beer garden over looking the main intersection (when the publican doesn't have to talk back radio blaring on the external speakers). Just make sure you ask for a "schooner" and not a pint/middy/9oz.. or you'll get called a 'bloody tourist'. I love going there in autumn when there is nice riding (motorcycle) to be had and the afternoons are still nice and warm and the seabreezes are finished with.

My favorite memory of a pub is at a place called Tuena in NSW. Only because I was young, way too young to drink, but my parents and aunty and uncle would take use there, and we would drink softdrink and play pool. Other than the general store, its the only shop in the town, and back in the days when a beer garden really was for families.

My fav pubs are the Newie at Armidale( a town blessed with many good pubs), the Star hotel Macksville (does any pub have a more beautiful view from the front veranda?) and a pub I don't think exists anymore but tavern in Mona Vale. We stayed overnight there with my dad when I was a kid and I remember them putting little umbrellas on the drinks. I was a nine year old mightily impressed.

Australia is blessed with many pubs. Its truly a great part of Australian culture, the public house. The local council down the road from where I live, the Kuringai local council area only has I think two pubs in the who area. They are a bunch of wowsers. There are more pubs within 1000 meters of where I live now, along with a huge RSL club.

What's the town near or north of Newcastle, that has 5 pubs. All within close proximity of each other. I went on a bike ride through there and everyone was passing from pub to pub. None particularly special, but it was good to have an excuse to drink a beer and move on to the next, and then drink another beer..

Endeavour Tavern Lancelin. Hands down best pub in the world. Surf all day and kick back in the beer garden with a froth or two looking at where you have been all day.

Only 2 in Port I know of Courthouse and Central. Courthouse is "flasher" Central has more locals....... according to happy hour of course. LOL

The Lions Den at the end of the Cape Trib track. They claim to be the oldest pub (or maybe it was the oldest still operating) pub in Australia. Camping out the back, nice flowing creek and plenty of cold beer with the typical north QLD humour. A must when travelling for the Cape.

Good pub indeed but i think a few take claim to that title in The Rocks at least.

Used to be a nice pub at Tathra. Remember seeing Mi-Sex back there in '81.

The Beach Hotel at Merewether? On a Summer Sunday, it was good.

Caves Yallingup has a lot of history.

Sundays in Darwin back in the day: Strip 'n Prawn (referred to as "church") at the Nightcliff from 11.00 to 2.00, the Cage till sunset, then onwards and upwards into the night.

There was also the roadhouse halfway to Katherine where the publican's enormous black sow called Doris had the run of the place.
Doris once went over to a new black Porsche that was filling up and attacked it. Cost the publican many $ to fix.
Doris died of cirrhosis of the liver. Frangelico was her preferred tipple, by the bottle. When drunk she became dangerous.
